Acceptance of these terms
By using DevToolbox you agree to the terms set out on this page. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the site. These terms apply to every page and every tool hosted at devtoolsbox.xyz, whether accessed directly or through a search engine result.
What the service is
DevToolbox provides free, browser-based utilities for converting, formatting, encoding, and inspecting text and data. The tools execute entirely on your own device. We do not host your data, process it on a server, or retain it after your session. Access is offered without charge and without any service-level commitment: pages may be changed, renamed, merged, or withdrawn at any time.
No warranty
The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. While the tools implement well-documented public standards and are tested against representative inputs, we do not guarantee that any given output is complete, correct, or appropriate for your specific case. Parsers differ in how they treat unusual input, and results may vary between browsers or browser versions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DevToolbox and its maintainer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost data, corrupted files, or business interruption — arising from your use of, or inability to use, these tools, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. You are responsible for verifying any output before relying on it in production, in a contract, or in any decision with financial or legal consequences.
Acceptable use
You may use the tools for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, including within your employer's work. You may not use the site to process material you have no right to handle, to attempt to disrupt or overload the site, to scrape it in a way that degrades service for other visitors, or to reverse-engineer, resell, or rehost it as your own product. Automated access at a rate that resembles an attack may be blocked.
Intellectual property
The site design, written explanations, and tool implementations are the property of DevToolbox. The output that a tool produces from your own input belongs to you, and you may use it freely without attribution. Format specifications referenced across the site (JSON, YAML, TOML, cron syntax, and similar) are public standards owned by their respective bodies, not by us.
Third-party services and links
This site displays advertising and uses analytics supplied by third parties, as described in the privacy policy. We do not control the content of advertisements and are not responsible for the practices of any third-party site you may reach through them. Any external link is provided for reference only and does not imply endorsement.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes take effect when published on this page, and continued use of the site after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. These terms are governed by generally applicable law in the maintainer's jurisdiction; if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.
